Core Features
Segments
Target specific subsets of your audience for more relevant campaigns.
What is a segment?
A segment is a named group of subscribers within your workspace. Instead of sending a campaign to your entire list, you can target a segment — for example, "Early adopters", "Enterprise subscribers", or "Inactive for 90 days".
Segments are managed manually: you explicitly add and remove subscribers from each segment. Only subscribers with subscribed status are sent to, regardless of segment membership.
Creating a segment
Go to Audience → Segments → New segment. Provide a name that clearly describes who belongs to this group. Optionally add a description for your team.
Adding subscribers to a segment
After creating a segment, you can populate it in two ways:
- From the segment page: Click Add subscribers and search for subscribers by name or email to add them one at a time or in bulk.
- From a subscriber's profile: Open any subscriber and use the Segments panel to add them to one or more segments directly.
Using segments in campaigns
When creating or editing a campaign, in the Audience step, select the target. Choose Segment and pick from the available segments in your workspace.
NgsReach will send the campaign only to subscribed members of that segment. Unsubscribed or bounced members within the segment are always excluded.
Removing subscribers from a segment
Open the segment and locate the subscriber in the member list, then use the remove action. This removes the subscriber from the segment only — it does not affect their overall subscription status or membership in other segments.
Deleting a segment
Deleting a segment removes the grouping but does not delete the subscribers themselves. Subscribers remain in your workspace with their current status. Any campaigns that were sent to this segment retain their delivery history.
